These accounts are for investment purposes wherein members lock away an amount of money for an agreed length of time at a guaranteed rate. Money invested in these accounts cannot be accessed until the term is up unless a member resigns, in which case funds can be accessed upon completion of waiting period.

1.1 Fixed deposit
Maturity periods for this investment is 6 months and 12 months with interest rates at 5% and 12% respectively. This account is suitable for deposits where a member is certain of the period that he can commit the funds. Minimum amount that can be deposited on this account is E1000.00.

Upon maturity, a member may rollover the principal together with the interest or collect the interest and rollover the principal or collect both. Withdrawal of principal is subject to a notice period.

1.2 Umtfunti Account
This account has been designed to assist members meet their medium-term to long-term financial goals with ease. There shall be constant deposits into this account of a minimum of E100.00 per month and the investment shall be made for a period of three and five years.

This account has been introduced to help members make investment towards retirement so that they will be financially stable during their golden days. Minimum contribution on this account is E100.00 per month and a partial withdrawal of 50% is allowed at the age of 55 years.
